Blue Lotus Yoga was founded in 1986 as a division of Sachi Organics, carrying forward a family tradition of handcrafted comfort and natural materials that began in Albuquerque in 1981. Blue Lotus and Sachi Organics remain sister brands today — both family-run, both rooted in the same commitment to natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship, each focused on a different corner of your home and practice.
Our Roots
Blue Lotus is part of a larger family tradition of handcraftsmanship that began in 1981, when Lois started making futons in Albuquerque under the name Bright Future Futon. Over time, that work evolved into what is now Sachi Organics, while Blue Lotus grew into its own line dedicated to meditation cushions, yoga bolsters, and floor mats.
From the beginning, the work has been guided by the same values: make it well, use natural materials whenever possible, and create products that bring lasting comfort and support.

Every Blue Lotus product is made in Albuquerque, New Mexico and shipped to customers around the world. We are still a small, family-run business, and that hands-on approach remains central to everything we do.
